Boiler Repair & Sewer Line Replacement in Greenwich, CT

Greenwich, CT (Fairfield County) September 2026

The Challenge

This Greenwich home is heated by a gas boiler feeding several hydronic zones. During a service visit, we found heavy corrosion and mineral buildup on the flow check valves serving each zone, along with rusted fittings at the low-water cutoff and the boiler's temperature gauge. Crusted deposits around valve stems and fittings are a telltale sign of slow leaks, and left alone they lead to sticking valves, pressure loss, uneven heat, and eventually a no-heat call in the middle of winter.

The home's basement sewer line also needed to be replaced, so the homeowners decided to take care of both projects together.

Our Solution

EcoFlow replaced the corroded heating valves and boiler components, installing new brass isolation valves on the heating piping so each part of the system can be shut off and serviced on its own without draining the whole boiler. The near-boiler piping was inspected along the way to make sure the circulators and zone controls were operating properly.

For the sewer line, we trenched along the foundation through the basement floor and laid a new PVC sewer line at the correct pitch for reliable drainage. Cleanout fittings were installed at key points before backfill, and new PVC drain piping was run along the stone foundation wall to tie the home's drains into the new line.

The Result

The homeowners head into the heating season with a boiler system free of the corroded components that were putting it at risk, plus new isolation valves that make future maintenance faster and less disruptive. Below the floor, a new PVC sewer line with accessible cleanouts replaces the old piping and is built to serve the home for decades.
